Tec-Pleat GP filter cartridges are cost effective, Beta 5000 absolute rated pleated polypropylene filters. They are fully welded construction, containing no resins, binders or adhesives which makes them particularly suitable for chemical, food & drink, and high purity water filtration applications where chemical compatibility and minimal levels of extractables are crucial.

The combination of high surface area and the use of high porosity meltblown polypropylene filter media means that Tec Pleat GP pleated filter cartridges have very low initial differential pressures at high flow rates, and substantially increased service life compared to alternative, low surface area products.

A comprehensive range of thermally welded endcaps are available to suit most existing installations.

Pleated Polypropylene

Tec-Pleat GP Plus filter cartridges are absolute rated, pleated polypropylene depth filters, they are equally suitable for use as membrane pre-filters or final polishing filters in applications that do not require membrane filtration.

Tec-Pleat GP Plus filter cartridges are absolute rated, tested to Beta 5000 using the industry standard OSU-F2 test procedure with AC Fine or Coarse test dust as appropriate.

Manufactured in the UK from 100% polypropylene filter media and hardware, Tec-Pleat GP Plus filter cartridges have excellent chemical compatibility. Thermally bonded construction eliminates the requirement for adhesives, maintaining product integrity in demanding applications and minimising the level of extractables in the filtrate.

Tec-Pleat DP filter cartridges are absolute rated, pleated polypropylene depth filters. Incorporating up to 8 separate filtration layers with progressively finer ratings, Tec-Pleat DP filter cartridges are particularly suitable for the filtration of fluids containing a wide range of particle sizes. The coarse outer pre-filter media layers remove contaminant that would foul a traditional pleated filter cartridge, whilst the finer inner media layers ensure that the stated filtration efficiency is achieved.

applications that do not require membrane filtration.

The exceptionally high void volume of glass fibre filter media, especially in comparison with meltblown polypropylene alternatives, results in very low pressure drops and high dirt holding capacity. Manufactured from Thermal bonded construction eliminates the requirement for adhesives, maintaining product integrity in demanding applications and minimising the level of extractables in the filtrate.

Our Tec Pleat-EDX product uses a composite filter media combining extremely fine filaments of borosilicate glass with Nano Alumina fibres to produce a non-woven material with a very high positive zeta potential of >50mV, which is not discharged by contact with water or alcohol. The combination of conventional mechanical entrapment by the glass fibre media with electrostatic attraction of the Nano Alumina fibres makes these filters particularly suitable for the removal of negatively charged contaminants such as endotoxins, whilst retaining the traditional high flow with low pressure drop characteristics associated with glass fibre media.

The base filter media has been independently tested and found to reduce Endotoxin levels to <0.05 EU/mL under laboratory conditions, and actual tests on an Endoscope Washer Disinfector artificially spiked with 196ml of Endotoxin into a 120L tank resulted in ‘None Detected’ cfu/100ml post filtration.

The filter media has been tested and demonstrated a Log Reduction Value (LRV) of >6.0 for E Coli, >5.0 for Brevundimonas Diminuta and 1.7 with a single layer for MS2 virus, increasing to 5.4 with a multilayer pleat pack.

The filter media has been tested and demonstrated an LRV of 4.6 when challenged with Legionella bacteria.

Filter media complies with NSF42, all polymeric and elastomer components meet the requirements for food contact as laid down in FDA CFR Title 21.

Media tests have also shown significant reductions in the levels of heavy metals such as Lead, Tin, Iron and Copper.

As the filtration efficiency relies largely on electrostatic attraction by positively charged fibres in a relatively open structure, the flow characteristics are much better than would be expected from a traditional membrane offering similar performance. Flow rates are high, clean pressure drops low, and the dirt holding capacity of the pleat pack is significantly higher than seen in comparable products.

The Tec-Vent BSP range of filter cartridges is specifically designed for applications where sterile air is required in small tanks and vessels during filling and emptying, particularly to break the vacuum formed by the condensation of steam inside autoclave chambers.

Manufactured using a naturally hydrophobic PTFE filter membrane, Tec-Vent BSP filters are resistant to wetting out in use, and maintain high flow rates with low pressure drop during service.

Rated at 0.01 micron in air and gas, the membrane will remove airborne bacteria, viruses and bacteriophage.

Available in 2 1/2” and 5” sizes, with convenient 1/2” BSPM threaded connection and silicone o-ring to ensure effective sealing with no by-pass.

Thermally bonded construction with no resins or adhesives used during manufacture ensures wide chemical compatibility and minimal extractables.

All polymer and elastomer materials used in the construction of Tec Vent BSP filter cartridges meet the requirements for food contact use and are listed in FDA CFR Title 21.
Can be repeatedly steam sterilised and hot water sanitised.

TEC-PLEAT PES

Membrane Cartridge

Tec-Pleat PES filter cartridges are microbiologically rated pleated filter cartridge based on a naturally hydrophilic, mirrored asymmetric Polyethersulphone membrane.

Tec-Pleat PES filter cartridges have a multi-layer construction, with an integral microfibre pre-filter layer and polypropylene support and drainage layers. The high surface area, 0.6m² EFA, and integral pre-filter ensures high flow rates with low pressure drops and long service life.

PES membranes are naturally hydrophilic so contain no wetting agents, together with the thermal bonding assembly process this results in a cartridge with very low levels of extractables, and when supplied pre-rinsed Ultrapore UPES filter cartridges have fast rinse up times to 18 M²cm. Another feature of PES membranes is low protein binding, meaning that most of the proteins present in the feed remain in the filtrate.

PLEATED POLYESTER FILTER CARTRIDGES
Washable Filter Cartridge

These pleated polyester filter cartridges are manufactured from a fibrous polyester which increases the depth of filter media giving greater dirt holding capacity and increasing service life. The pleat pack ends are fully immersed in a vinyl plastisol end cap which incorporates the sealing gasket and ensures complete integrity of the pleat pack. The high dirt holding capacity and efficiency of this range means that these filters are particularly useful for prefiltration before Ultra violet treatment and in other private water supply duties where long service life is essential.
